Charles Callaghan owns and operates The Photography Place Gallery, The Workshops and The Loupe. For 33 years Charles has made his living as a professional photographer serving corporation and industry with travel worldwide. Today his attention is focused on helping others to learn about photography, its past, its present and sharing his life’s passion.

Ed Dougert is currently showing two groups of work in The Gallery. He will be there from 2 – 5 PM Saturday for a open no-nonsense discussion about his achievements. In the first group Ed’s presents b&w portraiture to honors past masters of photography with distinct revelation and a respect of today’s creative focus, as he reveals his subject’s thoughts. In his second group, Ed shows his expression of the intrinsic value of these times. His thoughts about ordinary moments in seeing the everyday object are clearly explained in his work. Thought provoking and mysterious, his vibrant, vivid prints can be seen in The Gallery.

Christopher Kennedy will be sitting The Gallery this Sunday from 1 – 4 PM. He currently has three large brushed aluminum translucent prints that lead us on a journey of discovery. Time and again, these works provoke complex expression combined with calm assurance. The prints are a cloud of focus, pattern and color with traveling light to give us a journey in sound discovery. Visit Sunday to hear Christopher speak about his work moving forward.

The drivers and truck were on their way into NYC after their brief stop at the Gallery. Jonathon’s photographs are quite large, some nearly 7 feet. I cant wait to get them safely on the wall.
